The world is my parish
Recently, a denominational leader remarked that I am following in the footsteps of John Wesley, who boldly declared, “The world is my parish.” This statement resonates deeply with me as I transition from Anglican parish ministry into a new phase where I'm dedicated to exploring innovative methods to reach the lost. Inspired by the tribe of Issachar, who knew their times and understood God's purpose, I believe we, too, must discern our calling in today’s world.
This vision has led me to embrace a “glocal” mission, recognizing the importance of both global and local outreach. My passion is to unite the body of Christ—churches, mission organizations, and beyond—to mobilize a vibrant mission force that fulfills the Great Commission.
Wesley’s radical shift in ministry—preaching to the forgotten in fields and city squares amidst personal challenges—challenges us to redefine what it means to serve in our communities today. Our “parish” may not be bound by geography, but by shared interests and connections. As we embrace this call, let us be inspired to break boundaries and share Christ’s love wherever we go, transforming our modern communities into places of hope and belonging. Together, we can impact lives and spread the Good News to all corners of the world!
